Do I need to send my own design or photo?
Not at all — many customers come to us with just an idea. If you're ordering a portrait, soundwave art, or a custom scene (like our current wolf-and-moon live-edge piece), send us a clear photo or the song/audio you'd like and we'll turn it into a laser-ready design. If you already have artwork or a logo, we can work from that too.
What kinds of items can you engrave?
Cutting boards, coasters (wood and slate), live-edge wood slabs, signs, soundwave art, and portrait engravings. We also do vinyl and Cricut work — decals, stickers, and custom lettering.
Can I get a totally custom piece that's not listed in the shop?
Yes. A lot of our best work starts as a custom request. Message us with what you're picturing and we'll quote it.
Materials & Wood
What wood do you use for live-edge and portrait pieces?
We hand-select hard maple for most detailed engraving work because it holds fine tonal detail best. We also source birch and cherry for certain pieces. All our live-edge lumber is sourced locally here in New Hampshire's North Country.
Are your wood pieces finished/sealed?
Yes. Indoor pieces get a wipe-on water-based polyurethane finish. If you're ordering something meant for outdoor use, let us know — we finish those with a marine-grade spar urethane instead so it holds up to weather.
Ordering, Timing & Pickup
How long does a custom order take?
Because every piece is made to order (not mass-produced), turnaround varies by complexity — a coaster set is quicker than a detailed portrait or large live-edge scene. We'll give you an estimated timeline when you order.
Do you offer local pickup?
Yes — we offer local pickup in Colebrook, NH, with a 2–4 day prep window on made-to-order items.
Do you ship?
Yes, we ship most items. Some larger live-edge pieces may have shipping limitations due to size — reach out if you're unsure about a specific piece.
Care & Use
How do I take care of my engraved wood piece?
Hand wash and dry cutting boards and coasters rather than putting them in the dishwasher — this protects both the engraving and the wood finish. Occasional food-safe oil (for cutting boards) helps keep the wood conditioned.
Can slate coasters go outside or near moisture?
Slate holds up well to moisture and is a great option if you want something more durable than wood for everyday use.
Gifts & Bulk Orders
Do you do wedding, memorial, or bulk/event orders?
Yes — this is something we love doing. Wedding gift bundles (engraved glassware, slate coasters, live-edge photo pieces), pet memorial portraits, and bulk favors are all things we've made before. Reach out with your event date so we can plan around it.
What if I'm not sure what to order as a gift?
